Written By: Ian Silvester
The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith will host its Spring 2026 All-Majors Career Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center. The career fair is open to all majors and connects UAFS students and alumni to a wide range of regional and national employers, graduate schools, and community organizations.
More than 30 employers will attend, representing industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, public service, technology, and finance, and offering opportunities for internships and part-time and full-time employment across all majors. Three graduate programs will be in attendance for those looking to continue their education.
“Our role at the Babb Center for Career Services is to create employer connections that lead to a great professional network for our students and to give them an advantage when going out into a job market that might be tougher than usual,” said Susan Krafft, executive director of the Babb Center for Career Services. “The job market leading into 2026 is fair. It will be competitive, and we are hoping to see lots of options for our upcoming graduates, current students, and alumni.”
Krafft said students should come dressed to impress and with their resumes ready. The professional clothing closet on campus will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, for students to pick out an outfit or professional attire at no cost.
The first 100 students to attend will receive an umbrella and be entered to win either a Kodak digital camera or a 32” Roku smart TV.
Thursday’s All-Majors Career Fair follows dozens of career preparation workshops and networking sessions hosted by the Babb Center for Career Services each semester. These include interview skills, employer meet-and-greets, resume and cover letter writing, elevator speech development, and career technology sessions.
The All-Majors Career Fair is presented by ArcBest. Platinum Sponsors are Rheem and SPF America, and Gold Sponsors are Fastenal, Owens Corning, CED/Keathley Patterson, Arvest, and 1stEmployment.
